Mental Health

At Ide school we are currently working to develop our mentally healthy school. We are adopting a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing. Are aim is to have a school that helps children flourish, learn and succeed by providing opportunities for them, and the adults around them, to develop the strengths and coping skills that underpin resilience. As a mentally healthy school  we see positive mental health and wellbeing as fundamental to our values, mission and culture. We are working to create a school where children, staff and parent/carer mental health and wellbeing is seen as ‘everybody’s business’.

Mrs Jacqui Dart

Mental Health Champion

Our SENDCo Mrs Jacqui Dart is currently our Mental Health Champion. Her role is to develop our vision for a mentally healthy school.

Thank you to all the parents who came to the mental health and anxiety workshops it was lovely to see so many keen and supportive parents!
Here are the slides from both workshops
We have introduced children to the 10 a day choices that will promote mental health. Our focus for this term is to talk about our feelings.
Feel free to promote this at home too!
