Mental Health

At Ide school we are currently working to develop our mentally healthy school. We are adopting a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing. Are aim is to have a school that helps children flourish, learn and succeed by providing opportunities for them, and the adults around them, to develop the strengths and coping skills that underpin resilience. As a mentally healthy school  we see positive mental health and wellbeing as fundamental to our values, mission and culture. We are working to create a school where children, staff and parent/carer mental health and wellbeing is seen as ‘everybody’s business’.

Save the Date!
On Thursday 11th July I will be running the follow up session to our recent Mental Health workshop for parents at 9.15am and 6pm.
The aim of the workshop is to give parents an insight into some strategies you can use to support children who worry excessively or have anxiety type behaviours as well as promoting children's general health.
Look forward to see you all there!

We have introduced children to the 10 a day choices that will promote mental health. Our focus for this term is to talk about our feelings.
Feel free to promote this at home too!
